I know it's supposed to be a funny slideshow, but when the very first entry (Congaree) mentions cottonmouths yet shows a harmless Nerodia, I think people will have a negative mental image of what a cottonmouth is (or isn't) that will not bode well for nonvenomous snakes around the South.
Then, the third entry (Badlands) appears to feature a "BEWARE--Rattlesnakes!" sign, but the species chosen looks like a timber rattlesnake vs. anything found in that region. Can anyone confirm or deny this sign actually exists at Badlands NP?

"Here’s an idea: heat a pan full of sand to about 200 degrees, then pour it on your head. Congratulations, you’ve just simulated a visit to Death Valley National Park."

A post on a National Park forum indicated the offending signage is in fact at Badlands National Park; the poster uploaded a photo from Sage Creek Rim Road from the park.
Maybe we can get a few folks to contact them, highlighting the error...

I guess these signs are quite the popular photo opportunity.

The signage in Badlands NP in South Dakota is definitely depicting a timber. I noticed this when passing through a couple years back and thought it strange.

I want idiots like this and anyone who would heed their advice to stay away from our national parks!
