Nikon D50?

Post by Dalton Lund »

I've come across a Nikon D50 well within my price range, after reading reviews it seems like a good body to start out on, does anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks, Dalton.

My wife and I have owned and used our D50 since 2005. We upgraded to a D90 back in 2009. We have taken thousands of shots with our D50, with zero issues. The only complaint we have is the small, low resolution screen on the back. What is more important than the 6mp image size , is the quality of lenses you use with the camera.

"Kit fox" makes a solid point. Your photos are only as good as the lens you use. I personally do not know much about nikon but if the body is in your price range, go for it but make sure to factor a nice lens into your budget. In short, lenses make a bigger difference than the body. Hope that helps,

Got it. Problem is, I was too stupid to look at the location. It's almost 2 hours away. Lots of gas. Thanks for the information on the lens though.
