An auditory image of some Lithobates sphenocephalus

Just thought I would share some Southern Leopard Frogs from a few weeks ago just because recording frogs is cool :)



They were calling from a shallow grassy pond a few miles east of where I live (right at the edge of sphenocephalus range).

They weren't alone. I almost stepped on this while trying to get a photo of one of the frogs (I failed).

That's awesome. I can remember the first time I heard these guys; it freaked me out a bit.
