Stupid question...
How do you post pics on here from Flickr? They changed their layout or something and I have to relearn how to do it. I can't figure it out.

Re: Stupid question...
Still don't get it. That little pin icon doesn't show up on mine at all.
Re: Stupid question...
I don't get the pin icon either (but I rarely use Flickr).
I clicked the Share this Photo link (Step 1 in Soopaman's example)
Then I clicked BBCode
Then I selected the size I wanted (original in this case)
I copied the text it gave
and ended up with this
Trachycephalus resinifrictrix by 210chrish, on Flickr
I hate all that extra crap that flickr adds, but I guess you get what you pay for?
I guess you could cut out all the extra text and just leave the https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3815/138 ... 1acf_o.jpg and enclose it in image tags.
Which gives you this:

Code: Select all

I see, the pin icon has now been changed to BBCODE. I guess there was enough complaints on the ambiguity so they changed it to make it clearer.
And Chris, I like the extra stuff since I already have my photos labeled how I want them on Flickr. I can just copy and paste and don't need to re-type a label on here.

Re: Stupid question...
There is another, and perhaps better way to do it, though I admit that it's totally unobvious and I have my 12-year old son Nicholas to thank for figuring it out:
1. Click on the picture in your photostream you are trying to post.
2. Click on the three little dots toward the upper right-hand corner to open the menu.
2. Select "Download/All Sizes"
4. Click on "View all sizes" (just ignore all other options on this page).
5. Select the format you want.
6. Right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Location"
7. Paste ("Control" + "V" in MS) the image location between the brackets ([img]image%20location[/img]) in your post.
Done.
Yeah, it's kinda crazy that it should take 7 steps to get to the image location, but it works reliably and once you learn how to do it, it's actually reasonably fast. Try it.

thanks
Re: Stupid question...
Or, Robert, you could do it in two steps using the "share" square with arrow in it just before the ellipses.
They've now fixed it so it remembers yours preferences. After selecting the square, select BB code, select size, and then press ctrl+c to copy it, then paste it here.
After you do it the first time, it remembers your preference, and all you have to do is select the square+arrow, press ctrl+c, then paste. Pretty easy, doesn't take any thinking and is vastly quicker than any other method available.
