Experimenting with the flash

I had a successful roadcruising night on Friday, and got to try out something new with the flash/softbox and the jet black night around us. And the amazing snake of course!

That is kind of an interesting look with the finite edges to the light in the field of view. It would be better if the snake had been in some more "natural" habitat rather than on the road, but it is a good proof of concept.

I agree. Second picture is a beaut! Love the cropping. Not a big fan of the first though. Don't really like how the snake is posed and the lack of eye contact just isn't very interesting. Beautiful snake too! Really jealous.
