Question about resizing

Post by Kelly Mc »

I was wondering if it is true that if you dont try to resize pics on photobucket they will be better.

I usually resize them because they seem overly large for my purposes.

Thank you for any answers.

I haven't used Photobucket in years, but back when I did, exactly the opposite was true. If you did not resize your pictures, but rather let Photobucket resize them to their maximum resolution at upload (which used to be 1024 pixels on the long dimension if I recall correctly), they would look much worse. Things could have changed by now though.

I always think it is better to resize your photos in the size you want them before uploading. You can determine the actual settings and amount of compression you want as opposed to letting the photobucket computer do it for you.
