Hey, I finally have something to contribute to this thread! The weather has turned cold where I am and herp photos are few and far between now.
On Friday I went down to Bosque del Apache and hiked the Marsh trail. The marsh that the trail loops around was being drained (I think they do this to control avian diseases) and about a dozen painted turtles were slowly making there way through the cold mud trying to get to deeper water.
Nikon D200, Nikon 300 mm f4 AF-S, 1/125th second @ f8, ISO 100, tripod.
