If Hieronymus Bosch had been a biologist - cool poster

Post by chrish »

Not a book, but printed media that herpers might like.

I recently saw this poster on the wall of a colleague's office and had to order one for myself.

It is a large poster with a political message which you may or may not agree with, but the artwork is amazing.
There are dozens (hundreds) of individual herps and other critters drawn on this huge poster. It is really well done and quite intriguing to look at.
Sort of like a Hieronymus Bosch painting, the more you look, the more interesting stuff you see.

You can see it on their website and hover over the picture with mouse to zoom in. If you click on the different panels displayed below it you can see more detail. It is very cool, IMHO.

http://beehivecollective.org/beehive_po ... a-resiste/ provides a description of the project.

There is a pdf showing the detailed explanation of what all the panels mean - http://beehivecollective.org/downloads/ ... _print.pdf

and you can download smaller version of the poster or individual panels for your desktop background, etc. or even to print yourself.

If you want to support them, you can buy a 68" printed version (which is what I did).
