Snake Venom Poisoning

Post by Tamara D. McConnell »

I saw this book on Amazon.com : "Snake Venom Poisoning." Author is Findlay E. Russell. The blurb says it was written for medical people/clinicians (which I am not) but can be pretty much comprehended by folks with a pronounced interest in herps (which I am).
Has anybody read this book? I am wondering if it is worth sixty bucks.

There is a used copy on Alibris for $26.

Can I borrow it when you've read it?

I was unaware of Alibris. Just created an account and ordered the book. $26 is not as much of a risk as $60.
Thanks so much, Don!
Of course you may borrow it. Just be aware that I am merciless and relentless about getting borrowed books back. Folks who fail to return books are one of the very lowest forms of life, IMO.
Now back to shopping on Alibris. Happy times.

Its a great book although its pretty dated.

I use some of the snakebite pictures to scare my field technicians into safe capture and handling techniques.

Great book by one of the pioneers. Shermon Minton's book is another great classic.

I just happen to have Minton. You can borrow it and hold it hostage while I borrow your Russell.

I detest people who don't return books, too. Someone filched my first edition Cobras in his Garden many years ago, and I've lost quite a few others.
