400# has been a seemingly impossible milestone to break for a sport-caught yellowfin tuna, until last week! This fish weighed out at 405.2 # this morning in San Diego.
It finally happened - biggest yellowfin tuna EVER!

A benchmark that was a long time coming...
(I caught a 91 lber a few years back and about all it taught me was I don't want any part of a 405!)

Awesome fish! I will, however, say that is one thing I DO NOT want coming in my direction at 50-60 mph though!

Oh, definitely not my fish! I do however share something with the angler who made that fantastic catch - prior to the record fish, he was still trying to break the 200# barrier, which has become my obsession as well. Here's a couple I've landed traveling that path, both around 130#....
