This is hard-core fishing....LOL

A lot of field herpers seem to go fishing, or maintain aquariums, as much as they do herp! Any and all things fish are welcome in this forum.

With temps well below freezing, it takes a unique type of person to fish these waters.....

I will better document the ice cold fishing this winter. Heading out this weekend for the first time this season.

Awesome Chris!! I can't wait to see your results throughout the winter. Have a great season!
Ps: Take some pics of strangers ice fishing so we'll know who to stay the hell away from if ever need be.

Looks like you had fun Chris. I didn't see any beer in those photos, where the hell was the beer? Cause you can't ice-fish w/ out beer. Or at least a hot toddy.

Brian: Really? Ice-fishing is on your bucket list? We need to go herping where it's warm and have a long talk. ;)

Really interesting. Having lived in FL my whole life (I'm 24) and only seeing snow twice I've always thought ice fishing would be really fun. This despite the fact that I start to complain if it drops below 70...

Dell- I don't drink and fish, LOL.

Ice fishing is a good way to pass the LONG Minnesota winters. With the right equipment you can stay pretty warm (sometimes too warm).
