Can you find the birds? - new photo added

Post by AsydaBass »

Hello everyone, I thought I'd share this picture with you. I took it last week during an Everglades outing. Can you find the two birds in this shot? They're big.

After the 1st one it was easier as you get a better sense of scale. But a hard photo nonetheless!

Glad you guys enjoyed it. They were both perched around eye-level in a cypress dome. I see this pair and another pair fairly regularly. I'll post a "cleaner" photo of one of them tomorrow morning.

Whoa, that's a very cool shot. The first one is a very interesting broken silhouette, but the second one is really tough to see.
I'm not sure I'd have seen them w/out Freddy's Barred Owl hint.

Here's a photograph of one of the Barred Owls from the above picture.

I found a young owl in one of other domes later that day, but they seemed a bit agitated, so I opted to forego the photo op and leave them be. I'm planning on trying to get a photo of the little one this weekend though, since know I know where it is. We'll see how sneaky I can be :P

I can't find the other one????

I see the one facing the camera about 3 o'clock from the center stalk (but before the tree trunk). Where's the other one?

Find the red epiphyte on the left side of the picture about a 1/3 the way up. Go directly right and the owl will be lust right of the next tree trunk but before the center tree trunk.

Thanks Andy! I saw a couple other things and was thinking, "Is that the other owl?" I was way off!
