thanks andy,
it was mostly the warbler I was trying to get. and I really did try to id the warbler.
did I mention there are way to many warbler species for my brain to handle.

Now after looking at a book that hummer is still throwing me. The bill looks reddish so it could possibly be a Rufous-tailed Hummingbird but I would like to hear other opinions from someone with more tropical birding experience than me.
The other bird is a rough angle, but there aren't too many green passerines (at least that green) out there. Too bad you don't have a front shot of it, or could you describe the bill? I would be included to think it is a female Blue Dacnis.
The Chestnut-sided Warbler is the only one with a green cap like that. Makes it easy.

yea, no more details, that is why usually I just erase those pics.
the only thing that caught my eye about the green one is that it had a bill like a warbler. so it was not a honey creeper.
thanks again.

The hummer looks like a Buff-bellied to me. It looks too light for Rufous-tailed. Of course, I'm not even sure if Buff-bellied makes it over onto the west coast and then there are a few other similar looking hummers. I would have to check a field guide.
