Re: Some Recent Pics
Awesome photos and I'm happy to see there's more people here who enjoy some bird-photography while herping as well. (always "fun" to switch between telezoom to macro though. I need to get a second camera so I don't need to switch all the time. :p )
That white-faced ibis looks amazing. The iridescence in its feathers is beautiful.

Re: Some Recent Pics
They look like glossy ibis to me. How do you tell them apart?
Re: Some Recent Pics
I wasn't 100% sure on them. I was going back and forth trying to decide. This is the reason I went with white-faced ibis http://www.chicobasinranch.com/journals ... 3bec6b0fe6. They have the red eyes and darker legs like described.captainjack0000 wrote:They look like glossy ibis to me. How do you tell them apart?
Re: Some Recent Pics
nice series of photos.
Those are White-faced Ibis. Glossy Ibis has generally has blue/gray facial skin, White-faced has pinkish red.
And if these are in Utah, White-faced Ibis is a common summer resident while Glossy is considered "occasional".
