some new "ebird lifers"

Post by chrish »

I happened to log into ebird this morning because I wanted to check a record for a species (double-banded plover). I was surprised to see that my birdlist had increased by four since I logged in last week!

I got a new kingfisher when they split the Pacific Kingfisher from the Collared Kingfisher and my Purple Swamphen records were split into three species (Gray-headed Swamphen, Australasian Swamphen, and African Swamphen).

One of the great benefits of getting your records into ebird is that these changes happen automatically!

Anyone else get/lose any lifers on ebird this week?
