1. American Coot
2. Double-crested Cormorant
3. Ring-necked Duck
4. Correct, Tri-colored Heron
5. I don't have a bird book in front of me, but I would say Willet
6. American Avocet
7. Correct
8. Again no bird book in front of me. I have my guesses, but they are just guesses.

Re: South Carolina shore birds with need of a few ids
thanks guys,
It was a short trip but enjoyable.
I am happy with the birds I saw. I almost passed up the tri color as thinking it is just another blue heron, but wait, something different about it.haha glad I took the shot, it is a lifer not that says much with my amount of birds.
I was hoping for some sea ducks by the jetty but there was noone home.
thanks again

Re: South Carolina shore birds with need of a few ids
wish I could say I planned that photo it did take me a while to get the pic of his curved bill.
he kept probing in a straight line away from me. so I had to wait till he hit deep water and turned around. once he reached me , he stepped 4 inches to the left and started his trek to deep water again, probing all the way.
cool birds to watch.
