I recently upgraded to the D7000 which was a Christmas gift from my grandma. I haven't fully been able to explore it's capabilities with herps yet but I have been doing a lot of invert photography with it and I am overly satisfied with the D7000 so far.
For a glimpse of my invert shots:

Those are awesome photos/animals! Thanks for sharing, I had never seen nor heard of a knight anole before.

Re: A few herps from this year.
Thanks ya'll.
Tamara, a lot of green treefrogs and cuban treefrogs were hiding in those holes. They are hiding in holes of the support beams of a guardrail. Corn snakes also utilized it for shedding purposes. I'll post a pic of a shed or two I found. Humans have also used it for hiding things. While my friend and I were walking it I found a marijuana pipe stuck behind the beam against the actual rail too.
Tim, I knew you'd like it. Tiniest coral I've yet to see in person.
Holbrook, thanks man, I am happy with how it turned out.

Josh-
Good stuff all around. I particularly liked the alligator and the mud turtle shots. The little coral just inspired extreme jealousy, but what a great find!
