Re: March Species Counts
Since the weather was just too nice day (78 degrees) decided to get out for a random day.
In a short 3 hours I found:
5 Diadophis punctatus, 1 Lampropeltis getula nigra, 1 V. v. valeriae, 2 Coluber constrictor
tons of lizards and sallies as well

Re: March Species Counts
Cool finds everyone! Spring is just around the corner...
Not quite as productive as yesterday. Weather was overcast with some heavy T-storms in the afternoon. Temps ranged from 65-70.
During the day:
4x A. p. piscivorus
3x N. f. fasciata
1x T. s. sackenii
1x C. c. priapus
1x K. s. subrubrum
TMTCx T. s. sirtalis, A. carolinensis, S. lateralis, T. s. scripta
After dark:
A few shy of a billion L. s. utricularius (calling)
H. cinerea
H. squirella
P. ocularis (calling, located 1)
A. terrestris (only heard)
Also heard P. crucifer on my way back from school.
On a side note, I went to prod a leopard frog with my finger (to get it out of my way, not just because I like to see them spaz out) and it tried to eat my finger. It was quite funny and totally unexpected. Anyone have a similar experience?
Edit: mispelled "fasciata"
