 Post subject: Little Dragon Snake (Xenodermus javanicus)

We found this little snake on a small stream in Gunung Halimun Salak National Park, West Java.
Apparently this Xenodermus is searching for small frogs just after dark.

This is only the second one of these I've ever heard of being seen and photo'ed. I have long wished for more pictures of these snakes. Thanks for posting one of the coolest things on the planet.

Your english is better than some americans on the forum, so please keep posting! The dragon snake is awesome. Like Justin mentioned, I've only seen pictures of one from the field once before, and a couple pictures of one for sale a few years ago, I've always wondered how difficult they are to find in the field, what their habits are, etc.

One of the coolesst most unique looking little snakes. Similar to a garter or Hognose? Beautiful color.
