I may take this snake in from a local reptile rescue, but I figured I should find out exactly what it is first. It was left in a tank at the front door of the rescue. They have no background information.

Re: Lampropeltis ID?
My initial thought was ruthveni, could be a jalisco milk snake, I think ruthveni are a lot more common pets than arcifera though, I would start with those two untill you find factors that cancel them out.
good luck

Any other photos? From that one shot, it looks like ruthveni. A lateral, ventral, and head shot would be helpful.

Nope, that is the only shot the rescue has posted. I won't be able to get any others unless I take it.

Don,
I'll take it! When are you coming for rats and that baby king?
