A few weeks ago, a buddy and I were hiking a trail in La Selva Biological Station (Costa Rica) when we heard a squeak in some nearby leaf litter. Closer inspection yielded two nice animals:
Leptophis depressirostris eating a Craugastor fitzingeri.
Down the hatch, haha.
Afterward: a content snake.
A few others feisty snakes:
Pseustes poecilonotus
Leptophis ahaetulla
Terciopelo (Bothrops asper). This species doesn't gape to keep predators away...... They are very common in the area.
Cheers,
Brian Folt

Nice stuff. Looks like you've got that new camera figured out.
