Re: Assemblage of Herping Triumphs
The "local Milk" on the rock wall is intruiging on a few different levels and has me thinking more than I'm used to...

Edit: By the way, I'll pick up Alterna Rush when it's available...I don't care if it's 22 hours long and shows nothing but empty road. As long as it's real, I'm in! Please keep us (me) updated on availability.
Thanks

Very awesome post! Love all the milks.
Re: Assemblage of Herping Triumphs
Thanks all. I think you all know as well as I do how lucky we are to have stumbled onto such an interesting an rewarding hobby. I was chasing Graham's Crayfish snakes last night and thinking how most people in my area were watching the Royals loose to the Twins!
I started photoing animals just so I could post them on this forum and now photography has become one of my new favorite hobbies. It adds one more challenge to field herping.
Thanks again for your comments.
On the subject of the movie: We will finish this year and you will be able to purchase it on line. We are kicking off one more fundraising campaign very soon to help pay for the last bit of editing and sound stuff. Keep an eye out for our fundraising video here on herpnation!
Here is another pic of that "local milk" For you:

Love the cotton pic
Re: Assemblage of Herping Triumphs
OH yeah! When I posted the original post years back about my rock wall, I wanted to call it "Dan's Impressive Erection," but I was new to the forum and didn't want to offend anyone. I went with "The Rock Wall." I built that huge rock wall with my bare hands and almost no help. It is my most impressive erection!

Great series of photos Dan. I too am a big fan of all the milks.
A few of those looked very familiar. If you're back in MA this year let me know.

Re: Assemblage of Herping Triumphs
Awesome post! All those ring-necked snakes on one flip is just amazing. I remember finding 23 of those under a stack of boards, and ten under a single rock, but never that many under one object. I don't care how common they are, when those kind of numbers are seen under a single form of cover, it is cool to see. The rest of your pictures are great as well. I really like that last one. Thanks for sharing!

I loled at that one too.brick911 wrote:...You said "my impressive erection."
Also the "Found the morning my second son was born while my wife and I were walking to induce labor" made me lol
"Honey, hold that kid in there for just a few more minutes...I JUST FOUND A MILK SNAKE!"
I would've loved to see her expression/reaction.
Awesome post with a lot of variety. Often people here skip some of the more common things in lieu of all the snakes they found. But even if they are common, they can still be beautiful and worth posting. Thanks for sharing some great shots.
