Tonight was a gorgeous night, and walking a wash I like I wasn't disappointed. The Long-nosed snake in process of eating a whiptail was a first time event for me although I know they eat them (and damn trying to learn all the different whiptails here...crazy!)
Enough talk... I hope you all enjoy this small spattering of images as much as I enjoyed the ability to have been able to get them!
Good evening for walking in Pima County

Excellent finds- two of my favorite snakes!
Great predation find/shots.

Both beautiful pics, esp the Nightsnake. I remember the Coral you walked back @ the Salome, AZ ARC. Walkin the washes is awesome. Got a few areas here in the San Fernando Valley I've had some fun in this season.

rosyman, thanks I am glad you enjoyed them.
Zach... both species are pretty cool...I always wonder why more people never took to working with long nosed, such cool and extremely diverse snakes.
Reako, yeppers that was a cool snake...getting out and hoofing it just exposes you to so much more, and even when you don't see anything it is just simply good for the soul! I hope you are doing well! I add a little atrox for you from the other night..
