Here is a not so short video I made with footage of Timber Rattlesnakes (Crotalus horridus) from the 2012 season. Take it easy on me- I didn't know anything about video editing before making this. I grew up skateboarding in the 90's and low budget videos like this were (and still are) a huge part of the culture so I guess this is sort of a nod to that. I also just started getting sick of all the stupid rednecks Fing with rattlesnakes on youtube. The intro is kind of silly but I wanted to get a few words in before it went in to snake outer space. My favorite parts are the black phase poking it's head out at the base of the tree at 5:25 and the head shake at 12:03... look close . Be sure to click the little gear shape and switch to HD... I filmed it in 1080p but youtube destroys the quality and this is as good as I could manage to upload it. All animals were filmed in their natural environment without being picked up or messed with or anything like that. Please keep the locations secret if you recognize any of the spots. Thanks!

I liked it. Very well done IMO, at least compared to most youtube videos.

Sweet! It's good to see something different. I like the homemade feel. And that's quite a nice spot you've got.

Re: timber video
I loved the Marty Stouffer clips. My kids thing he's great, as I did. Great editing I thought this was a cool video and I don't normally watch much stuff on youtube.

Thanks for posting, must be nice to have such a spot.

The skink playing chicken is a nice touch. Better than my vids.

Re: timber video
I kept expecting to see one of them to eat concrete off a five stair through a fisheye. I guess I've watched too many skating videos too.
Great video, I can't imagine how time consuming it must be to sift through hours of footage to fit all the best parts into an 18 minute vid.

Great video, no velvet tail video is long enough IMO.
