Does Anyone have any new EDB Records since the last Florida

Post by Fundad » December 23rd, 2013, 8:19 am

Does Anyone have any new EDB Records since the last Florida Request for them?

If so Kevin Enge is looking for them.. (But he needs them before the end of the year), therefore they would need to be sent directly to him..

This is your last chance to send me eastern diamondback rattlesnake sightings. At the end of the month, we're going to use the sightings I've received (over 600) and existing records to create habitat models to determine the extent of the snakes historical range that is still occupied. I'm particularly interested in sightings from unusual or highly fragmented habitats. All I need is the latitude, longitude, and year. Thanks. I found the snake in the photo on our office driveway this month.

We are talking habitat models here, if you have anything that since the last request or maybe you don't enter records in HERP and have something to add.

If you have something to add or help, please say so here, and I will follow up with instructions on how he wants them sent.

This is a great chance to help with the future conservation of the EDB. :thumb:

Awesome thanks guys Please email him the info..

Jack, we don't have time for a data request, and no one can see your data, so can you email him the info when you return.

If anyone else has any please let me know and I 'll PM his email address to you..

Thanks

Is this for Florida only or does Alabama count?

I had one just above Flamingo in the Everglades National Park in April. Is that the type of record that he's interested in receiving?

Since Enge with with the state of Florida I expect the request is only for Florida. To the best of my knowledge no habitat modeling for EDB is being done for Alabama.
