Hi everyone
A total of 53 species of wild snakes found in 2013 which is quite fruitful for me.
Here is the combined pic of them
Let me post more highlights of 2013
10. Oligodon catenata, Assam Kukri Snake in Nanling, China. The most beautiful Kukri Snake I have ever seen.
9. Boiga dendrophila, Mangrove Cat Snake in Kubah National Park. One of the biggest cat snake species.
8. Emydocephalus ijimae , Turtlehead Sea Snake in Okinawa. My first sea snake
7. Python reticulatus, Reticulated python in Krabi, Thailand. The longest reptile in the world.
A great experience to herping with a dog
6. Sinomicrurus macclellandi swinhoei, MacClelland's Coral Snake in Taiwan. My first Coral Snake.
5. Ahaetulla prasina, Asian Vine Snake in Krabi, Thailand. My first Vine Snake.
4. Bungarus fasciatus, Banded Krait in Hong Kong. I wanted it for a few years and finally I got this in 2013!
3. Chrysopelea paradisi, Paradise Flying Snake on Manukan Island, Sabah. My first Flying Snake. Very lucky to see it gliding from the top of tree to several metre from me when birding.
2. Deinagkistrodon acutus in Taiwan. Around 1.3m long 100 Pacer Snake.
1. Protobothrops flavoviridis, Okinawa Habu in Okinawa. So far, it is the most beautiful snake in my mind.
Thank you

Amazing stuff right there. I second that flying snake as being so sick. Great colors on some of these. I'm putting together an end of year post now after seeing all these good ones you guys did.

All really great finds and photos, 53 species is great! I haven't counted but I would be surprised if I got half that. I'm not sure but I think that Emydocephalus ijimae might be a first for this forum.
