Proper Taxonomy of Anolis carolinensis

Post by PNWHerper »

I have been trying to figure out what is the current, accurate taxonomy of Anolis carolinensis. Is it in the family: Dactyloidae or Polychortidae?

Opinions in the google resources I could find seem to vary. What say yee? :?:

According to the reliable website, The Reptile Database (http://www.reptile-database.org/), they are considered in the family Dactyloidae. The Polychortidae are a family of seven lizards in the genus Polychrus.

I want to make sure that what I include in the book is accurate and up-to-date as possible.
