I just added the 25 names with over 1,000 records. Congrats on passing 3,000 Sam.
Re: Database Entry Levels
Jeez Hubbs, 11,128 entries!?! That's like one entry an hour for the past 10 years! I'm not well at math.

Re: Database Entry Levels
It's...uh...called an addiction...what can I say...
I also know how to enter stuff really, really fast...
Also, if you're gonna talk the talk, ya gotta be able to walk the walk...what kind of Naherp spokesperson would I be if I only had 1,000 records...?

Re: Database Entry Levels
I'm addicted more and more each year. Just like Hubbs, I enter data quickly.
Re: Database Entry Levels
To dery, please take this with a grain of salt coming from a guy who enters everything he sees and still only has about 300 records (albeit many of them were new counties), but there are two counties just a touch northwest of Huntsville that are unvouchered and seem like easy pickings on the southern border of Tennessee. They are Lawrence and Giles county, about 25 and 60 miles from Huntsville, AL respectively.
Re: Database Entry Levels
Thanks Jefferson. However, I'll let Bethany Avilla Do those for now. I already did all McNairy County's records so far. However, I do plan to get data from Cobb County on spring break After my flight back from my half sister's in Arizona. PS it takes a while to get to the 1k mark. It took me a year and a half.

Re: Database Entry Levels
I've really slacked on entering my herp finds... as a Senior in Highschool things have been really busy for me. I plan on taking a couple days and entering my significant finds from this year in the database before 2015, though. Jefferson and Sam, i do go to Giles and Lawrence counties every once and awhile but I've never been herping there.

Re: Database Entry Levels
I'm not the only high school senior who does field herping?? Well, I don't count in this forum anyway (I'm a Yankee, or as they say it in the Deep South (especially Georgia), all as one word, a "damyankee"). That's a shock. I probably should have hit Antrim and Bay counties up here in Michigan before the herping season ended, but I only got a few new counties myself as well. Happy herping to all next year!

Are you being sarcastic or do you think most people on here are old?I'm not the only high school senior who does field herping??
Re: Database Entry Levels
I was being facetious about the high shcool senior thing, captainjack. Not about being called a "damyankee" in Georgia, though.

Re: Database Entry Levels
Y'all might benefit from reading my sticky post in the California chapter forum about how to get massive quantities of data. You and Mr. Dery might be missing some simple steps. You don't have to go herping to get entries...all you have to do is keep your eyes open and stop the car at ponds and bridges...

What's the fun in that?
Re: Database Entry Levels
Hubbs, I'm well aware of that. I don't own a car. I just don't drive. I either carpool, sail, paddle, skate, bike or walk everywhere.Brian Hubbs wrote: You don't have to go herping to get entries...all you have to do is keep your eyes open and stop the car at ponds and bridges...
And, YES-When carpooling, I road cruise as much as possible.

What do you mean? There is a wrench icon and you can drop a pin via Google Earth where you were located. There is now an accuracy field too, so if you are uncertain of your exact location you can include that too.
