Great Basin Rattlesnake yawn

As is typical of the GBR (lutosus) that we find, this one never rattled or struck. However, this is the first time I've seen one yawn. I was able to snap a few photos (as fast as my flash would recycle, since it was night), so I turned those pics into a gif.

How do you make a gif out of digital images?

I use Photoshop, which has a timeline feature and the ability to export gifs. In this case, this is just three images that I put in a loop.

I have a whole collection of these, actually. I may have to make a post of them sometime. Basically, when I go through my shots and find two or more images that were taken from a slightly different angle, I turn them into a gif. It offers a stereoscopic feel (a sense of depth perception) that you can't get from a single photo.

Until I upload and post the others, here's one that I made for our social media accounts about a year ago, after someone approached us about collecting wild caught rattlesnakes and illegally importing them into Africa:
