Bite marks on deck post?!?
These marks were on one of the posts of my parents back deck? They go about 1 1/2 inch deep into the wood at a downward angle. Can anyone help identify?

Woodpecker damage, from birds looking for carpenter bee larvae.

Could be woodpecker, could be a 'squatch. Probably a squatch.
