Needed: So Pacific Rattlesnakes - San Diego/Orange Counties
My students and I have been examining venom variation in rattlesnakes. We have a few holes to fill for high elevation populations of Southern Pacific Rattlesnakes in the Santa Ana, Palomar, and Cuyamaca Mountains. If you are able to make available one or several specimens from these mountain ranges--preferably adults--we would like to sample them. We have a CDFW permit for the work and we can travel to you. If fresh caught, we would want them released ASAP after sampling. I can be contacted by PM or better yet (if allowed) by email: [email protected].

Hi Dr. Hayes,
I'll try to collect some specimens for you from Palomar Mtn.
Cheers,
Jeff

Just now seeing this (May 26). Sorry. A single individual would suffice, but I prefer several. Getting a bit late in the season, but it has been a cool spring.fangmaster wrote:I have a densite in the cuyamacas, how many adults do you need?
