Just thought I'd share some pictures of the little horned lizard I found. I had no idea their range went all the way into Salt Lake County. Pretty cool find nonetheless!

Cute little short-horned, thanks for sharing. I haven't seen any of those yet this year - the desert HL's are a lot easier for me to find for some reason, even though they have a much smaller distribution in Utah, achieve smaller maximum size, and have a much narrower ecological amplitude. Maybe they're just easier to target???
Anyway - nice that they still exist, and you found one, in this rapidly suburbanizing valley. Please consider entering that record into the HERP database (http://www.naherp.com/)
