From Kununurra I headed Towards Darwin Hoping to Find Varanus Kingorum on my way After looking long and hard in wyndham and kununnarra and turning up nothing but Scolopendra I wasnt feeling hopeful, But after a few hours searching I managed to get one and then another

Heading up to Darwin The next target species was varanus baritji ,on a previous trip I hadn't managed to get one putting it down to being to dry I hoped that recent rain would bring them out After a short look I manged to get this stunning male

I wish now I had looked for longer in the hope that i might of found varanus primordius

Travelling up further I was told by a freind of a spot that varanus mertensi often hung out at I have been to the spot twice in 2 years and there always seems to be one there A good sign that they are bouncing back after the toad invasion.
