Thanks so much.
Yeah, that green snake is really cool looking. I'm hoping to see another next week when I'm back for another 24 hrs.

So I'm curious. You pull an 11-15 hour flight, then you get 24 hours off at the destination, herp for a bit, get some sleep, then back on a jet to LAX? Do you turn around and do it all over again in 24 hours or do you get like a few days off? To me, those long flights are pretty tough, you definitely need a few days to recover from it. How does that work for pilots?LouB747 wrote:I'm hoping to see another next week when I'm back for another 24 hrs.

I usually gone for a total of 12 - 14 days a month, so I get a lot of time at home.RenoBart wrote:So I'm curious. A typical trip is.....
Day 1: LAX-SFO-NRT (Tokyo) 30 hrs in the hotel
Day 2: NRT-HKG (Hong Kong) 24 hrs in hotel
Day 3: HKG-NRT 22 hrs in hotel
Day 4: NRT-LAX
It actually takes about 5 days with the flying. I'm then home 5 to 8 days
I try and stay on US west coast local time, but that can be impossible. I try and herp wherever and whenever I can. If I'm too tired, I won't go out. I always regret it when I wake up later though!
I hope that answers it. We typically get a lot of days off when flying the long haul flights. I fly a 747, so all my flights are long......
