Hey everyone,
Just wanted to swing by and post some photos from the past few months. Will keep commentary very brief. Been shooting with the Canon 70D for almost a year now. Loving it so much.
Visited Southern California and herped with Robert, Nic, Jeff Lemm, Matty Lemm, and a handful of others.
Some local trips thrown in.
At the end of March, my work took a high school class down to camp and visit the various research stations, such as the Granite Mountain Research Center and Zzyzx Desert Studies Center, in the Mojave Desert. Great time naturalizing, hiking, and of course herping. All herps sans the Speckled Rattlesnake were seen during the day on our hikes. Very exciting for myself and the students.
Haven't traveled too much since that time and haven't had too much time to dedicate to much herping. Surveyed Santa Cruz with Lawrence, Amy, Natalie, and members of MidPen. Here is what I've seen so far.

Pretty handy with that camera, man. Nice, thanks. I like the jumper and also the lava-flow Phryno.
Sounds like you've got an OK job, eh?

Great shots, Zach! I really like that young speck, and reddish gophersnake headshot! Those fungi are epic looking too.

Hey Zach!
Stoked to be back scrolling the forum and seeing you're still getting after it in the bay area. Amazing finds but honestly what struck me most was the photography! I am stoked you joined the Canon nation and clearly have mastered it. I shoot with a 60D that I have had for years and been considering an upgrade. May look into that 70D or 80D. Keep the posts coming, I love seeing what you're finding.
