I will be in Atlanta this week for a conference and it would be great to be able to find a few reptiles in the mornings / evenings before / after work, nothing fancy but common south-eastern US species (e.g. I would be happy about a corn snake). Are there parks or national reserves in the city, or close to the city, you could recommend by any chance? Due to time constrains long trips won't be possible.
Any advice would be useful and input by people knowing Atlanta would be great!
Dedicated exclusively to field herping.
