The Snakes of Hong Kong

Post by Hongkongsnakeid »

New joiner and excited to contribute. I am an avid herper in Hong Kong and just set up a website (http://www.hongkongsnakeid.com) with a buddy here dedicated to identifying all the snake species in Hong Kong. 35 species so far and lots of great herping along the way as you can imagine.

Really happy to have this forum to share our adventures, questions and pics!

First one on order is a recently found Burmese Python - Python bivittatus on Hong Kong Island.

I was on a joint walk with a fellow herper down a previously unexplored conduit for a recon and a little less than halfway down we came across a beautiful 7ft Burmese. The following are a few of our favorite shots from the session.
