Central and Northern Thailand - august 2018

Post by Thor Hakonsen » December 9th, 2018, 7:42 am

In the end og july we again set our course for Thailand, and the vast amount for pit vipers here! We where 3 guys travelling from Norway and in Thailand we met up with the great guys from Tontan Travel, Ton Smits and Aood - perhaps the best travelling company there is for finding as much and diverse herps as possibly in Thailand.

We flew in to Bangkok and travelled stright to Kaeng Krachan National park, and after this we visited Kanchanburi, Khao Yai National Park and Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park

So, as usual as I'm a photographer and not a writer - here are some of the pics from the trip (feel free to ask any questions)

What the hell, no hageni? No venustus? Ha ha, totally just kidding!!! Wow, you killed it with the vipers.

Nice photos by the way. Super nice.

Are you sure you can't try your hand at just a little writing? I'd love to hear anything about your searches, the habitat, elevations - whatever you're able and comfortable sharing.

Congrats on the (IMO) wildly successful trip.

cheers

Well, to have venustus and hageni you have to go to the south ;)

And that we did two year ago : http://www.fieldherpforum.com/forum/vie ... =2&t=23788

But unfortunatly no T.hageni, but we did find some other pretty nice pit vipers on that trip.

Thanks!

It's actually the first time I took the time to shoot them - a shame really. I should have more good shots of these fantastic geckos!
