Hi everyone, here is some amazing finds in this summer in Taiwan.
1. Oriental Rat Snake (Ptyas mucosa)
It was unbelievable that I saw two rat snakes at the same time!!

2. Common Mock Viper (Psammodynastes pulverulentus)
It was amazing that I found this guy eating a lizard!!

3. Eastern Russell's Viper (Daboia siamensis)
One of my friends found this beauty, one of my favorite snakes!!

4. Rein Snake (Gonyosoma frenatum)
One of my friends found this, very rare species!!

Nice finds & pics - thanks for sharing. My dream of some day visiting Taiwan endures. Between the culture & people, the natural history, and the scenery, it's an extremely appealing destination.

Fantastic shots, Jerry!! After all these years, I have yet to see a Daboia and a Rein Snake, let alone one of those damn 100-pacers that have kept eluding me for a solid 13 years now (while everyone else seems to trip over them every time they hit the mountains).

We have Russell's Viper but they are really rare.
