Hi Guys
I'm preparing a presentation for nature enthousiast in my hometown that features Costa Rica. I will use a lot of photos from my 3 trips to CR.
The presentation will be about the all flora and fauna with main focus on birds and mammals. As a herp lover i would also like to include some pictures of snakes, frogs and reptiles.
I would like to give the correct names in the presentation. I do not have the proper books for the frogs and salamander. can you help me ID the following 4. i know the last is a glass frog but i believe there are many kinds.

Hi Frank,
I'll go ahead and take a stab at your herp i.d.s but it would help if you could tell where each of the herps were observed. You don't have to be very specific, even a general area would be helpful (e.g. northwest Costa Rica, near Limon, etc.)
- The first image is a Striated Webfoot Salamander (Bolitoglossa striatula)
- next is an Orange-sided Gliding Leaf Frog (Agalychnis spurrelli)
- Green Climbing Toad (Incilius coniferus)
- Possibly a Ghost Glass Frog (Sachatamia ilex), but a locality would help to positively identify this frog
I can confirm these identifications if you let me know their approximate localities.

Hi Paul
Thanks for your reaction.
Funny to hear that the toad is a climbing toad , i found it in a tree and was very surprised about that. Now it makes sence.
I had to dig into my memories but i think i have found the correct locations
1: sarapiqui (heliconia island resort)
2: sarapiqui
3: Cahuita
4: sarapiqui (heliconia island resort)
Hope this helps.
Regards
Frank

Yes Frank, I believe that my i.d.s are correct given the localities you provided. You're right, there are a bunch of Glass Frog species in Costa Rica (15) and many look alike so it helped to narrow-down the locality. Good luck with your presentation.
