short lived poorly described species. this one surprised me, i was lucky enough to get a quick cell phone pic.

That is desparate. My sister lives in MA and the way winter hangs on would certainly get to me. You got any buttons or rocks to add for spots?

Ah, yes. Usually only seen a few months out of the year by delirious New England herpers.

Be careful about that photo, you might be able to get some locale data out of it, and we don't collectors ravaging the population.

This species isn't popular in the pet trade. They don't do well at room temperature.

looks more plethodon than ambystoma, but I will leave that to the DNA testing and the experts
