Hey everyone. I'm an avid herper spending my summer back at home in Dupage County. Most of the herping I've done has been further South near Eastern Illinois University and also Snake Road, so I'm looking for some good spots here in Dupage/ Will/etc. Counties. Can anyone help me out?
Glad to be a new member of the forum.
Thanks guys.
Any good herping sites around Dupage County?

It is tough to justify helping someone who has one post and a weird moniker.

I sometimes find my own spots.

It really is bad form to ask for herping spots on your first post, esp. without divulging who you are. You're welcome to post here and join the community, but we do operate on a first name basis.

I apologize if I came off as greedy or aggressive in any sort of way.
First thing's first; Why is it not allowing me to change my username when I access my settings on the User Control Panel? Is that even possible
Thanks,
Iwo Gross

Yeah, it must be even tougher when the person's actual name is more weird. Haha.matt ignoffo wrote:It is tough to justify helping someone who has one post and a weird moniker.
I'll work on my credentials, thanks for being blunt.

LOL
I love talking herping. Send me a PM sometime, I get out in DuPage and surrounding areas a lot. Basically I guess I worry about strangers coming in and rummaging carelessly through our limited spots up here. I am not accusing you at all, but there are lots of folks who don't care much to learn anything...just wanna find find find and some even collect from protected areas. Myself and a couple other board members were out last weekend in DuPage County as a matter of fact and some careless folks had flipped most of the rocks/boards out of place and did not replace. No big deal in the grand scheme I know, but annoying at least.

An all to familiar tune Matt. I recently found tin at a site here in Michigan that had been moved a few feet from where it was. The tin was placed there in the first place in hopes of serving as refuge for Kirtland's Snakes. Some careless people are out there, can't be too careful.
