Snakes, snakes, sal

Post by Kelenken »

Bah, I've been too busy lately, but I missed FHF so it's time for my semi-annual post :)

I'm in MA these days. And I caught my first-ever ribbonsnake!

This snake's defensive strategy was 1. musk, 2. bite, 3. play dead. Not bad for something with a brain the size of a pea.

Gartersnake sex looks complicated.

Also, this isn't in the northeast, but it's too dang cool, so forgive me:

I went on a trip south and found a green salamander! Yahoo!!
