Herp Themed Valentine Box for the Kiddos

Post by TravisK » February 10th, 2014, 10:50 am

I made this with my 1st grade daughter last night. I guess she liked it because she played with 'Carmen' all night and made sure 'Carmen' was watching her as she slept. LOL!

Have you guys done any cute homemade Herp Type/Themed Valentine Boxes this year or in years past?

Cheers,
Travis

LOL, Thanks guys. Yeah it was pretty fun. I liked it just as much as her. It was 'supposed' to not have wings but those puppy dog eyes got to me and we ended up putting wings on it.

It was pretty cheap to make too and I will just have her use it for the next few years or so. 4 sheets of 99 cent foam, one tall gallon size water bottle without handle, one can spray paint, a $4 feather boa, and some glue for the hot glue gun. It only took about 45 mins to put together too so it wasn't really time consuming or anything.

Between you and I, I am a big kid that likes to build things. I have been thinking about doing one of those walking dinosaur suits and I might just start that here soon. I have been thinking it would be a fun to use in our local 4th of July Parade.

Travis, great work buddy! I love the little herp related treasures you create for and with your kids.

Mines a little too young to fully appreciate such fine art. He would probably proceed to tear all the parts off and stick them in his mouth.

Some day soon... ;)
