Can anyone tell me how to have one? Like best roads, rockpiles and locales. Pics and road maps would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've got a loop you can take, may take a while. Start in Tucson, go east on I-10 to I-25, north to I-40, west to I-17, south to I-10 and repeat. You'll get a good cruise of NM too.

Brad -

I would personally appreciate it if your requests for information were indicated. One common means of doing so is to include "FYI" in the title ....otherwise, you're just yanking our chains. And, well, it hurts when you do that, unless of course this was an attempt to prove a point.

;)

Let me tell you. You take the San Diego Freeway to the Ventura Freeway. You drive to the Slauson Cutoff, get out of your car, cut off your Slauson, get back in your car, then you drive six miles till you see the Giant Neon Vice-Squad Cop. From there, you head ninety six miles east until you get to the 'fork in the road'. From there travel south until you get to the Tastee Freeze. You then stop, get out of your car and say, "where the hell am I?" Hubbs will be there to take you the rest of the way for the mere purchase price of his three books.

Not sure if this is a serious post. Monsoon season for me was blacklighting for beetles. Anyway target 2nd to 3rd week of August. Can't say spots (don't know any).

Never been to Arizona myself but if it were me; First off, I would go when it rains. As for the best roads, rockpiles, and locales I would try to stick to the ones with the most Herps. And heres your pic and road map Good luck!!

Look up in the trees. I hear willardi like those. Walk around residential neighborhoods and hang out in swimming pools. You'll find gila monsters that way. The freeway that loops around the airport is good for green ratsnakes. Go to the birdcage in tombstone and all the ghosts will tell you where all the mountain kings are. And tag along with hubbs if you want to find gopher snakes.
