A few catepillar IDs needed

Post by gretzkyrh4 »

Hey Guys,

My wife snapped a few pics of caterpillars on her phone while out in the field with me and ritt Saturday, and I was wondering if any of you invert experts could help her with IDs. Sorry for the poor quality pics.

Thanks in advance.

Second one is Malacosoma disstria. That first one is real cool, maybe something related to sphinx or some innocuous moth. How large was it?

My wife says it was ~2-2.5". I was thinking sphinx moth, but don't know enough to really venture a guess.

Thanks for the other ID.
