I wonder how fast the snake took to completely pass through the waterbug's digestive system.

It looks to me like the snake just drowned. It couldn't come up for air with that giant bug on its back.

I was under the impression that they inject a toxin.
If you ever wade barefooted and get bit, you can certainly believe it; it's excruciating.

I must say the narrator absolutely rocks! :lol: I laughed out loud when she gave the scientific name for the bug then was like "and some kind of.... garter snake??". Awesome video, thanks for sharing it here.

I don't know much insect taxon. Certain species, especially cave crickets Always creeped the heck out of me. I always liked insects that don't attact on the offensive, just not enough to learn much taxon. I'll stick with arachnids.
