Death's-head Hawkmoth in Sweden

Post by Freddy81 »

I´m so happy. Yesterday an old dream was fulfilled. I have allways wanted to see the Death's-head Hawkmoth - Acherontia atropos and YES now it´s done.
I´m so so so so happy.
This was number 34 for sweden.

They call it a Death's Head, but to me it looks more like an Imperial Storm Trooper. Really cool moth.

I'd love to see some of your other 34 species.

Wow. That's amazing. Not "death" like maybe, but really cool.

I photographed a cockroach in Mexico that had a "skull", but it wasn't as neat as yours.http://m5.i.pbase.com/o6/15/915115/1/12 ... C20954.jpg

Weird Chris, looks like a cross between a crude skull and upside down jack-o-lantern. I think your roach's design is more avant-garde
