Research question

Post by simus343 »

So as people here may or may not know Holothuroidea (Sea Cubumbers) are capable of self defense through eviceration (expelling their internal organs) and are then capable of regenrating their organs, even though it is highly taxing on the animal.

Does anyone know if there been any research done on the organ regineration in Holothuroidea after eviceration for human application, similar to the study of limb regineration in Axolotl salamanders?

I am asking because I am curious on the subject and would enjoy to read up on the research if any has been done.
