San Diego Scorpions

Post by Nature Nate »

A while ago I was volunteering for USGS and was emailed a cheat sheet for the 7 species of San Diego scorpions. I know that it was incorrect since it didn't include any Hadrurus sp. or S. mesaensis. It is possible that it only included the coastal species but even so it didn't include minimus. All this to say that I lost it and I'm trying to recreate a list. Here is what I have so far:

Anuroctonus phaiodactylus

Hadrurus arizonensis pallidus
(no photo yet)

Smeringurus mesaensis

Paruroctonus borregoensis borregoensis

Pseudouroctonus minimus castaneus

Pseudouroctonus williamsi

Serradigitus gertschi

Superstatnionida donnensis

Uroctonus mordax mordax
(no photo yet)

V. spinigirus

V. purtanus

This is a good websight, but I'm sure it's missing some since I don't see S. donensis or V. spinigirus:

Does anybody know of an available printout of my local species or where I can go to find a comprehensive list?

Maybe I should ask this somewhere other than a herp forum... :P
